Matt grew up fishing the waters of Eastern Pennsylvania, chasing after any fish he could find. While still a dedicated multi-species angler, the majority of his attention is focused on catching the largest carp around. Matt utilizes a wide range of methods to catch carp, such as stalking, sight fishing, float fishing and a hybrid of European/American tactics. While Matt’s angling efforts tend to focus on the Delaware River watershed in Pa/NJ/DE he continues to travel throughout the US to seek out new and challenging waters.
Matt is currently the state chair for Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware for the Carp Anglers Group, co-founder of the Philadelphia Anglers Club and has organized many local carp fishing tournaments and carp fishing demonstrations.
In 2005, Matt placed third in the World Carp Championship with fishing partner Louis Cook.
